As a registered Democrat, an American concerned about the direction of this country, and someone fed up with the current system and ready for CHANGE, I must make a plea to Hillary Rodham Clinton. In the words of Rocky’s trainer “Give it up Hill, its OVER“. This is the time to polarize our party, come together as one unit, an officially make the push to Washington. I won’t just speak with my personal opinion, which wouldn’t be fair. I’ll give you facts and numbers, both of which DON’T lie!

Hillary said last night would be a game changer, a game breaker. The tide would be turned and now people would recognize the true power of her political machine, etc. etc. Well here’s the facts Mrs. Clinton:

In North Carolina, whether you “knew” he would win or not, Obama didn’t just win, he SMACKED you by 14% (56-42). In Indiana, whether or not Barack “thought” he would win by 7%, a state that you were supposed to have locked up convincingly, you BARELY won. By winning 51%-49%(Gary, IN thank you for showing African Americans the power of the vote!), that was the equivalent of holding on to a lead when a star player misses shots down the stretch, only to squeak by in the end(Sorry LeBron, you still the homie though!). Very unimpressive indeed!

The fact remains that after last night, Obamas’ delegate lead increased from 143 to 155. He needs 180 to win the nomination while you need 327. 217 super delegates and 274 pledged delegates left in these remaining primaries:

* May 13: West Virginia (39)
* May 20: Kentucky (60), Oregon (65)

JUNE 2008
* June 3: Montana (24), South Dakota (23)
* June 7: Puerto Rico (63)

You are expected to do well in WV and Kentucky, but you would STILL need to win approximately 86% of these primaries just to CATCH Obama! Even if these primaries are split evenly the rest of the way, Barack would only need about a third of the remaining super delegates to cast their vote for him in order to win, while you would need a vast majority to win(thanks for the stats Bro. Cooley). In the races in which you beat Obama, you’ve won by 5-7%, while when Obama wins, he CRUSHES you, usually by double digits. The last few weeks have been the worst for the Obama campaign, with all the rhetoric surrounding the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, while you have attained STRONG momentum. Your swagger was on another level, challenging Barack to a fair one on the debate tip, talking huge White House talk. All of this, to get blown out in NC and BARELY win in IN? Even in your BEST hour, you still couldn’t get that “Game Breaker” victory that you prophecized, and expected.

So now I ask you, Mrs. Clinton: What’s the point? I know money is a little low in your ranks nowadays, but I know there are enough analysts and statisticians to tell you that you are only in this race mathematically. Any sports fan, whose team is in a playoff/pennant/divisional race, knows that when you here that phrase, its basically curtains for your team, unless something crazy happens(like you blow a double digit lead in the last week of the regular season to miss the F*&@#$ playoffs…smfh). So they should be giving you the facts that this race is all but over. Honestly Hill(can I call you Hill?), anyone in your camp telling you that you have a true shot to win in a CLEAN way is just RIDIN for you without any regard for our party or the democratic process. So now I question your true motive behind staying in this race and not conceding to Obama. Are you trying to bloody him up for the GOP to get this victory, all but setting up your next campaign in 2012? Do you think that the Super Delegates will all jump ship and decide this race for you, and all but smack all the registered democrats who voted in the face and tell them “Your vote doesn’t matter”?Are you just so hell-bent on being a President that you will draw this campaign out to its final legs just to “see what happens?” Are you just digging up enough dirt on Barack or hoping for a major scandal to disenfranchse Barack from the party and proclaim yourself the Democratic Messiah? Or is it because you are getting out voted, out $$$’d, and outplayed by an “inexperienced Jr Senator”, and I KNOW it doesn’t help that he’s of color! Your ego is in the ICU right now, I feel you, but you need to be the bigger person and let it go…

This is where I implore all the younger voters, African American voters, and people who voted for the first time ever, who support HRC, to really sit back and look at this with objective eyes. Your candidate is severely hurting this party by not conceding. You all see the writing on the wall. Whether you support Obama or not, its hard to argue that his campaign has been one of the MAIN catalysts for people to rock the vote this year! Think of how disenfranchised we felt after 2000 and the highway robbery that was Bush’s victory. Think about how many people said FCUK voting and reach a new level of apathy towards our electoral process. African Americans, think about your ancestors, OUR ancestors, who bled, sweat, died, and endured oppression that we cannot fathom, just for us to have the right to say who we want as our representatives in Washington on ALL levels. How comfortable and satisfied would you be with a “Super Delegate” nomination for HRC? Inevitably, winning in that way means your vote didn’t matter, and neither did mine. You just rode with the candidate who knew how to ski mask the election, and further the perception that the more things change, the more they will stay the same.

This Democratic primary has been the best in US history. It has encouraged all new segments of voters to support, brought apathetic voters back to the fold, and truly demonstrated(especially with an African American and a Woman running for the nomination) what our impact as voters can mean to a nation. My fear is now McCain and Company are gearing up for the race and mobilizing all forces, while we continue to draw out a primary that for all intensive purposes should be over. Now we have to deal with hurt feelings on both sides, people who won’t want to support the candidate that eventually wins this primary if their candidate doesn’t win. This is getting too divisive for the party! Barack’s speech in NC last night touched on this, where now his speeches are officially shifting towards the White House race. He spoke of party unity and how no matter what we ALL must back the DNC Candidate in order to win in November. This can happen, but it can happen seamlessly if you concede, Mrs. Clinton.

Barring a major scandal, Obama is going to be our candidate to send to the Presidential Race. Accept it and Respect it Hill! Its time to move forward, and think about America instead of yourself. It’s time to say I quit, I submit, I give up, I’ve had enough. Tap Out Mrs Clinton, because right now you’re holding 2 pairs and Obama has a Royal Flush. Fold, take your winnings, and back the candidate that the majority of your party, and THE PEOPLE want to see, and let’s work on bringing about true change. Do the right thing for yourself, your supporters, our party, and America. Fold Hillary, and PLEASE no more excuses or Keith O will call it out like he did in the video below:
