#BeTheBetter Fitness Log: Entry 7

One month is in the books!

This has been an interesting journey for me thus far. I believe I am as focused on fitness as I was in 2007 when I first charged to lose weight. I’ve been recording all the food I eat and the workouts I do, and I’m reflecting on that now. Yeah, I definitely put in work!

I worked out 22 days out of 30 in the month of June. 75% of the month I was in the gym, working out at home, playing basketball, and just remaining active. I feel better and healthier.

The foods I cut out continue to stay out of my diet. I believe it’s having a good effect on me. To date, I lost 5.5 pounds and 1.3% body fat. When @BarringtonBFit saw my before pics, he told me he could see the difference between then and now. I can’t tell anymore I’ve given up on my eyes telling the truth, lol.

I find myself getting frustrated at times. I want the end result NOW! I work hard, and the slow but steady approach is killing me. I kick myself for not finding this focus all the way back in January like I originally planned. You can’t cry over spilled milk, you just have to press forward. This thinking is poisonous to me because this is how I fall off and regress. I get frustrated with slow progress and slack. My only saving grace is seeing the results, meeting up weekly with B-Fit for transparency, and the added pressure of the BFFM body transformation contest. Losing isn’t an option and I’m doing my best to make a significant difference.

This journey won’t be perfect, but my effort will define it. I plan to lift weights an extra day a week (starting this week), and keep the cardio up too. I can feel the change happening, and I can;t wait to go from good shape to excellent shape! Good luck with your workouts!

  1. I also find myself frustrated because now that I lost a lot of pounds, I am stuck at this weight .I still need to lose around 10 pounds but it gets so hard and slow. I changed everything in my eating habit ( no more white rice, bread and pasta ) and also in my workout.
This year, I have to reach my fitness goals by any means.
