We have another episode of #TrueBlood on deck! Let’s get into the synopsis shall we?
So how does Eric’s memory return affect the relationship with Sookie? Well, bad ass Eric is back, but he’s different. He now has all the love he had for Sookie before, so in a sense he’s evolved. The only problem is, now Sookie has come clean to tell him that she’s in love with him and Bill! Sookie is doing the most right now. She needs to choose. We all have relationships where we might have old feelings that don’t go away. Playing with vampire feelings can only lead to a coffin.
Bills starting to assume more power. He basically thugs out Nat, and chastizes her for not letting him kill Marnie when they had the chance. He definitely has a point, as the new PC Vampire regime forgot about how they usually respond to supernatural threats. It’s crazy how Vampire Bill’s position of power slowly shifts and strengthens with every episode.
You can see that the survival of the Vampires trumps all former compassion and restraint in the characters. Bill plans to set the Moon Emporium on fire to Kill Antonia/Marnie and anyone who supports the (including Tara). Sookie’s pleas fall on deaf ears, as Bill and Eric agree that at this point, any innocent live lost is collateral damage. In war, shit happens!
The undertones of secrets are all over this episode. The secret of “what Sookie is”. The secret meetings by the wiccans. Sookie getting Lafayette, Jesus, and Jason to conspire against Bill and Save Tara. Hell even Andy and his V obsession! All secrets that will eventually come to light and have to be addressed.
The dynamic of Jason and Jessica’s relationship is getting more and more complicated. Jason is conflicted by his love for his friend Hoyt and his lust for Jess. He should’ve just kept it 100 with him and told him about his feelings for Jess.
Last episode, Tommy got beat down by Marcus and his pack. Alcide was able to rescue him, but he met his fate this episode. He succumbs to his wounds and dies with Alcide and Sam there. They had a great exchange talking about the afterlife and what they believe happens when you die (and possibly return). You can see now that Sam wants vengeance on Marcus for his brother. I thought he hated Tommy and had no real feelings for him, but I was mistaken.
You also see a conflicted Antonia argue with Marnie about the innocents being hurt by this war. We find out that Antonia isn’t really a dark witch, as she was a victim of circumstance. Her rage isn’t the equivalent of Marnie’s, but Marnie is able to swindle her with a speech about revenge and the cruelty of people. You can tell Marnie’s been getting disrespected her entire life, and wants the power to retaliate with supreme power!
Terry and Andy go back to the childhoods in order to help Andy kick his V habit. I’m not too interested with this storyline, adn I hope it doesn’t end up as filler.
The end of the show was dope! Sookie’s team storms the Emporium to Save Tara, and it Marnie gets the drop on them and transports them somewhere (who knows). It was the last scene that got me hyped, as Jessica, Bill, Eric, and Pam drive up in a black van and hop out like this was Set it Off!!! They are ready to end this war in John Woo movie fashion!
Can’t wait to see next week! I expect all out brawls and more revelations!

I missed Eric. #thatisall
