Day 37
Just finished another week of one of the best workout programs I’ve ever done: P90X. I’m still pretty hyped about my day 30 results so I’m going hard and pushing [||] towards the 60 day milestone! The major hurdle this week was the holiday weekend. As always these weekends are filled with BBQs, parties, and other opportunities to all but destroy your nutrition plan. I can say that I indulged within reason and still maintained healthy eating habits! Drinks were flowing though, lol, and I have to watch my alcohol intake as those empty calories can deter my results.
This week brought new exercise routines which I completed successfully. I never thought the moves could get any more difficult than Phase 1, but Tony Horton proved me wrong yet again! One advantage about P90X is that you can do an excercise many times over the course of a month and still struggle! There’s always raise to change the move and increase intensity and makes every session fresh! I ordered resistance bands too. I don’t want to buy a bunch of free weights and they’ll make the workout “road friendly” and give me a different angle to attack the muscles. Can’t wait!
Phase 2 will develop the glamour muscles (I infer), and will help to strengthen and shape my abdominal core. I also do a majority of these workouts in the AM now. You get that caloric afterburn throughout the day and get it OUT OF THE WAY as well. I know I’ll be too tired when I reach home, so I’ve made it a part of the morning ritual.
What are your goals? How are you staying focused with your workouts?
See you in 7
