So I’m officially 33% done with the P90X program! Where has the time gone? I finished Plyometrics today to cap off my 30 day mission, and took my first “after” pics for Milestone 1. To myself, I see slight changes. To others, they see big changes. I still hold a critical eye to my body, but I will take the results and analyze them. I know I got stronger and faster. Some of these workouts make me feel like I’m at the Combine or any sports teams training camp! This definitely pays the dividend it preaches, but ultimately it’s up to YOU to follow the steps they outline. For the next 30 days, I have a few goals to attain:

No missed workouts – If I have to getup at 5am to get in a workout, or do it late at night I will. I feel like I didn’t get maximum results due to missing a few yoga and ab ripper x exercises (coincidentally the 2 exercises people hate the most). These next 30 days there’s no room for slack. I’m going to BRING IT like no other!!

Nutrition – I took a look at my eating habits the last 30 days and i give myself a C (and that was after doing extra credit work!). These next 30 days I’m paying strict attention to what I eat. They say diet is 75% of your workout and I agree. Time to restrict the amount of fried foods, sweets, etc that I eat. Time to increase my water consumption and make smart substitutions for junk food. We should all be open to new ideas though either way though, and some plans may work better. I’m following nutrition plans that worked for me in the past. No shots at the P90X’s plan. I’m sure its excellent and I may try it in the future, but one thing I learned with nutrition is “if it works for your body, stick with it”.  I saw excellent gains with the Abs Diet plan and Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle by Tom Venuto so we’ll see how days 30-60 like it.

Completing Bonus Exercises – P90x offers optional exercises to do in place of rest, which I will do also. Once again a no brainer as I want to maximize results.

Purchasing  Additional Workout Equipment – I gotta get a mat for this damn yoga and floor exercises, smh. I also want to get resistance bands so I can travel better with the program. Variety is the spice of life is it not?

So there you have it. Here’s to the next 30 days! Keep working on your goals, write them down, and internalize them! 60 minutes a day to get the body you want? Seems like a fair trade to me!

See you next week!

I need a visual… you know to see if it worked. Before & after pics are in order.

Actually I started my own workout plan. It’s no P90x, but I think it will work for me. I started a food & fitness journal as well

My plan right now – workout at least 5 times a week for 2 hrs. (I upped it from an hr and a half)

I’m taking yoga classes twice a week, doing the gym atleast 4 to 5 times a week, and I walk everyday to and from work, which is about an hr walk. So in theory, I’m working out more than two hrs a day

I didn’t take pictures, but I can see my mid-section reshaping itself.

In terms of pounds at first I was discouraged, but I think I’m gaining muscle. I’ll give you an update in 30 days…no pictures
