Operation Summer Sexy: Week 4

What’s good everyone,

As you know, I’m big on personal health and working out.  I wrote some previous articles on getting in better shape and focusing on your goals. I know it can be hard to work towards them, so I’m going to update you on my personal progress and hope that we can motivate each other to reach our goals.

Right now my current goal is to get my body right by May 8th, 2009. I’m in the “get over the hump” stage, so I’m grinding out heavy. Here are my current stats

Week 3 Weight – 198.0

Week 3 Weight - 195.2

Difference Weekly - 2.8  lbs lost

Difference to date: 5.1 lbs lost

Target Weight – 185

Weight Training  Expected – 3

Cardio/Abs Training Expected – 6

We’re at the halfway point of the operation, and the kid is feeling focused! This week, I stuck to my guns and completed 5 cardio sessions this week. I also did different types of cardio, from Basketball to running, stairmaster, swimming, and the row machine. Switching up your cardio keeps your body guessing, keeps you interested, and assists in maximum fat burn. What’s crazy is I didn’t even run on Thursday or Friday!

I switched up my weiht training to a more power/rep based workout. I find a medium weight about 75% I can lift, and lift it about 20 times per set. This fatigues my muscle and keeps me active (good looks Mo!). I also incorporated exercises that I used to do when I first started working out, along with new ones and it’s been great! I’m getting stronger and hopefully more tone.

I lost 2.8 lbs, but I dont want to lose more than 2lbs a week and 3lbs the most. You can gain that weight back quicker with one slip-up. Just don’t want to lose weight too rapidly. I got about 5 more weeks to get to 185, and I’m well on my way. This week will be important because I need to get over the 195 hump. The last few weeks I kept gaining weight when I get to 195.

So 5x a week seems like a keeper. That will be my new cardio minimum.  I’m also mentally gettting in shape. I look over my personal goals, these blogs, and other reminders of my fitness goals daily to keep my eye on the prize. Thoughts become reality only by execution, so I plan to execute this fat on my body and get it 100% tight!
