What’s good everyone,
As you know, I’m big on personal health and working out. I wrote some previous articles on getting in better shape and focusing on your goals. I know it can be hard to work towards them, so I’m going to update you on my personal progress and hope that we can motivate each other to reach our goals.
Right now my current goal is to get my body right by May 8th, 2009. I’m in the “get over the hump” stage, so I’m grinding out heavy. Here are my current stats
Week 2 Weight – 198.8
Week 3 Weight - 198.0
Difference Weekly - 0.8 lbs lost
Difference to date: 2.3 lbs lost
Target Weight – 185
Weight Training Expected – 3
Weight Training Actual -3
Cardio/Abs Training Expected – 6
Cardio/Abs Training Actual – 3
So I wasn’t too pleased with my weight loss this week. I’m looking to do 2lbs a week until I hit 185. I don’t think I failed diet wise like that. A few drinks here n there but definitely negligible. When I first adopted the workout plan that showed me the most results, I was running 5-6 times a week, and some weeks 8 times a week (doing 2 a days on cardio days). I’m still trying to find that happy medium, so this week I’m definitely doing 5 times a week cardio MINIMUM. One important thing to remember is that workouts aren’t “one size fits all”. Once you determine what types of workouts your body responds to best, you must run with it until it stops working!
I also got back on officially working my abs. I neglected them, but realized I need to concentrate on my abs like I did as part of that “best workout”. This week I’m also re-incorporating the body weight workouts I stopped (push-ups, pull-ups, dips). If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it right? I’m not too worried about the weight loss setback. 5 weeks left on the plan and 13 lbs to go. I got my goals right where I want them. I just wanted a little easier road to the last 5 weeks, but nothing comes easy when you work towards success!

You know what's funny though: I weighed myself today and I was 172.2 or something, which is down from 198.8 that i weighed last Tuesday! I gotta rock with the Monday weight though to get back on track with my weekly weigh-ins!
