Growing up, we had a lot of iconic black sports stars. A young Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson, Barry Sanders, Ken Griffey Jr., and others led an early era of African American sports supremacy. None had the respect, clout, or legendary status of Mike Tyson in his prime. Iron Mike was THAT dude! His greatest hits series is still awe inspiring, and he brought heavyweight boxing to another level. I still remember that one fight he ended in the first round, where the massess demanded a PPV refund because the fight lasted less than 2 minutes! We all know the downturn his career took, from wifing up Robin Givens his divorce and imprisonment, the Holyfield biting incident, and others. This documentary seeks to put all the pieces together, and from what I see the trailer looks DOPE! I still don’t know how he lost to Buster Douglas, smh.
From Nahright:
